As most of you will now be aware Gwen passed peacefully away on 22nd February after a further stroke. Her funeral service is to be held on Friday 12th February at 2.00pm followed by committal at Westerleigh Crematorium. All will be welcome at the Church Hall following the service for light refreshments. Any offers of help with refreshments would be greatly appreciated, please sign up on the sheet provided or speak to Diana Gardner who is co-ordinating. If any would like to send cards or messages Pat Dale has addresses of Gwen’s children.
We thank God for over 60 years of service to St James by Gwen and for her shining example of faith and witness to Our Lord. Our prayers are with John and Marilyn, Grace and Martyn, Richard and Linda and all the grandchildren at this sad time for them.
LENT GROUPS 2016
Lent groups will be on Monday mornings at the home of Roger and Jackie Long, Tuesday evenings at the home of Peter and Jane Huzzey and Thursday evenings at the Vicarage. More details to follow

Messy Church – Many thanks to all who came to the Vision Planning Day. We now have a plan for the whole year which will be shared shortly but meanwhile can announce that the next session will take place on Friday 19th February 3.45pm-5.45pm at the Church Hall and ALL are welcome
Holiday Club Meeting– this will now take place at 7.30pm at the Vicarage on Wednesday 17th February NOT 18th February as previously advertised. Please do consider coming along to find out more.

“I will be placing an order for “The Real Easter Egg” at the end of February. These are Fairtrade Easter eggs, which contain booklets & activities, which tell the real meaning of Easter, and also raises money for Traidcraft. They are available in selected supermarkets, but are slightly cheaper if bought directly. If you would like to order one please make a note on the order form at the back of the church and pay me by the end of February.
